Dr. Şəhla Aslan

Dr. Shahla Aslan is a specialist in educational administration and international relations. She has been working in the fields of journalism, education and culture since 2009. Her literary, artistic, journalistic and analytical articles are published in various media organizations in Azerbaijan and Turkey, including AzerTAC, “525-ci qazet”, “Turkustan”, “Adalat”, “Azerbaijan muallimi” and other media platforms. She is the founder of the independent media platform Manera.az, which has been operating in the field of literature, education and culture since 2015. Continuing her professional activities in both academic and socio-cultural fields, Dr. Shahla Aslan has worked as the deputy dean for social and cultural issues at Baku Slavic University, a lecturer at the Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a presenter of educational programs on Turkish KonTV and TR6 TV channels, and a teacher at the Guba branch of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. Since 2025, she has been the head of the Azerbaijani Turkish Language Teaching Center at Gazi University of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center operating under the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkey. She also works as a teacher at Gazi University. Since 2020, she has been the Azerbaijani representative of the Turkish Internet Journalists Association. Education and scientific activities Dr. Shahla Aslan received her higher education in Azerbaijan: Bachelor's degree in Pedagogy at Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Faculty of Creativity at Baku Slavic University, Master's degree in Social Sciences at Lankaran State University. In Turkey, she received a Master's degree in International Relations at Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University, and a Doctorate in Education Management at Gazi University and completed her education with high academic performance. She is currently continuing her research on the application of artificial intelligence at Gazi University as a postdoctoral fellow and visiting researcher. She carried out her educational and scientific activities in Turkey within the framework of the "Turkey Scholarship" program of the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities. Dr. Shahla Aslan's research areas include educational administration, educational policy, professional development of teachers, application of technology and artificial intelligence in education, cultural diplomacy, international relations, language, identity and the Turkic world. She has participated as a speaker in numerous scientific conferences, symposiums and international events. Books Dr. Shahla Aslan's books "Stories" (2013), "Qudsal Dönüş" - stories and essays (2015), "Conversation with the Rector" - interviews (2024), "Portrait of Ganire Pashayeva - From the Perspective of Those Who Knew Her" (2024) and "Language, Identity, Homeland" (2026) have been published. Awards and honors Her activities have been evaluated with a number of awards and honors in different years. In 2019, she was awarded the special Presidential scholarship for youth of the Republic of Azerbaijan. She holds an international journalist card from the International Federation of Journalists. She has been awarded several times in the nomination "Active Youth of the Year" by various organizations in Azerbaijan. For his contributions to the development of Egyptian-Azerbaijani literary relations, he was awarded the prestigious Higher Education Medal and Diploma of the Egyptian Ministry of Education (2017). He was awarded the “Culture Ambassador” diploma by the Turkish Promotion and Culture Platform, the Certificate of Merit and Medal by the Ankara Art Platform, and the “Journalist of the Year” award by the Turkish Media Federation. In 2026, he was awarded the “Honorary Award” by the World Reporters Association of Turkey in the “Our Women Leaving a Mark” category by the Turkish Science Board.
